Hello beautiful people,
It’s that time to do some inner spiritual work, so here is your homework for the week. If you have a journal that you haven’t used, this is the perfect time to blow off the dust and put it to work. No journal? No problem. Grab some paper, a notebook, anything you can write on for the next week. It’s time to start patting ourselves on the back and focus on the fruit of what is, so we can get our levels up to really start being present in life in an enjoyable manner instead of just existing. Paper and pen, that’s all you need. Don’t have time to sit down and do the exercise? Use voice notes on your phone. No excuses. Because at some point, if no one shows up for you, you have to at least be the one who does. Your inner you is watching and notices that even you aren’t loving on you. So let’s get started. (From this point, I’m going to speak as if you are writing this down, and those who are doing voice notes on your phone can make the adjustments.)
Sit down, set the scene or not. I believe our inner selves love to be romanced a bit, so a little burning of a candle, lighting some incense, and dimming the lights with some relaxing music playing in the background never hurt anything. My little spiritual baddies know what I’m talking about.
Take a moment to clear your mind and start by telling yourself that you are proud of you. Say it over and over until the why comes up, and then the lists of things start to present themselves. You graduated from… You did something that was scary. You cleaned the house. Anything and everything that comes up. Remember, this is about you and what you are proud of that you did. That is your fruit, write each one down. List everything, from the very smallest detail to the largest one. Tears may come with this as well, but let them flow. It is your inner self showing gratitude for being seen. This is about you, what you’re proud of and what you’ve done.
Once you stop feeling anything rising to the surface, start saying, “I am so grateful for everything I have in my life,” and say that over and over again until the what rises to the surface to unlock the gates of fruit that lies behind the doors. This is about what you have and are grateful for. Write down all the things, from as little as your plants to as big as having a job in this economy. It’s like counting blueberries with watermelons. Nothing is too big nor too small. All of it counts. All of it is your fruit of life.
Try to do this at least once a week and collect them over the course of the month. On the last day of the month, read them out to yourself. Bonus points if you cut each one listed into separate pieces and place it in a bowl (a Love Bowl, if you will) and randomly pull each slip of paper to read to yourself.
You would be amazed at what we forget over a period of time, and this is like your “I love myself and I love my life” journal to let you know that you are doing an amazing job. That there are things working out alongside the hard stuff and it deserves attention as well.
Until next time, love you lots! – Sacred
