Hello beautiful people,
We’re off to the beginning of a new week, and I challenge you to not look at what you are moving away from but to look at what you are moving towards. Don’t look at disappointments, betrayals, failures, things that just didn’t work out, what you have lost, nor what you did wrong.
You went through it, learned from it, and now it’s time to heal from it and move on. This first starts by releasing it, and focusing on where you are heading. Don’t know where you are going? Look for the fruit and start there. What is showing up in your life as an answered prayer? What is showing up in your life as coming together or is starting to form, and you can make out what it is going to be? What gives you that little kick of joy? Yes, stay there. Work on that. Focus on that.
Think of it like losing weight. Focus on the action, and the results, no matter how small, will show themselves: pants feeling a little looser or your face looking a little slimmer. Don’t look at how much more you need to lose, how long it will take, the clothes you can’t fit in, or get bogged down with how much more needs to be done to reach your goal. All the while, you’re missing the fruit that is proof that, although not in its full completion, it is still working.
I find that life has a lot of different pathways our minds can take us, and wherever the mind leads you, there your life will build a home. For me, it has always been better to take it in bite sized chunks rather than looking at the overall picture, which can be overwhelming at times and lead you down paths you’ve been down many times and got you nowhere. It’s time to do things a little differently and start looking at what’s ahead. Check the side and rearview mirrors only when necessary. Start there. Step by step. Little by little.
Until next time, love you lots! – Sacred
