Hello, beautiful souls!
I don’t want you to get distracted by the name of this week’s tarot card pull, because trust me, it’s actually a good one for all of us. The Hanged Man card comes into play when it’s urging you to be still—to pause, reflect, and allow space for what’s meant to come next. It’s about taking a break from the rush, giving yourself time to absorb what’s already in front of you, and allowing life to unfold naturally.
For me, the timing of this card is perfect. Last night, I was finishing up a project where I’ve been working to bring Pinterest into my world as a way to share my content with all of you. At that moment, I had just completed the final touches on my blog and I could feel this deep desire bubbling up inside me to create Pinterest boards that complement my blog. There was this excitement in the air, a feeling of oh, this is going to be so much fun to create, quietly humming behind the scenes as I wrapped up my website work. Once the website was ready, I was eager to dive into Pinterest. The thing is, Pinterest had never been something I was particularly drawn to, so I decided to take it slow, to really learn the ins and outs of the app, and figure out the best way to integrate it with my blog. I expected this whole process to take weeks, which would give me time to let the next project come naturally to the surface, just like this one had while working on my website. But what I didn’t expect was that I caught on so quickly. I figured out what I wanted to do really fast. So quickly, in fact, that I’m nearly finished with this phase of the project already! But here’s the thing—despite all my excitement, the ideas for the next phase just hadn’t surfaced yet.
As I sat with that feeling, I realized something important: Maybe I need to just be still for now. This has become my new way of handling moments when I don’t have the answers. When I’m unsure, I’ve learned to trust that it’s time to pause, and let whatever’s next gently present itself. This is often when something new is trying to come to the surface, but it requires stillness, not action, in order for me to see it clearly.
Imagine my joy when I pulled The Hanged Man card today. The card that confirms the need to stop, breathe, and pause. The card that reminds us that sometimes, it’s better to hold off, rather than push ahead with something that isn’t quite ready.
So here’s your reminder: If you’re in a season where things feel stagnant or unclear, give yourself permission to pump the brakes. Don’t force it. Don’t plow ahead with energy that’s misdirected or premature. The Hanged Man offers a gentle nudge to pause. If you don’t, life might just pause things for you, so you can catch up and recalibrate. Use this time to reflect on what you’ve already built. Take a deep breath and check in with your path. Are you still headed in the direction that feels right to you? If not, now is the time to release what no longer serves you.
For me, this was a huge learning moment. I’ve often been someone who tries to push forward, disregarding spiritual cues because I felt the need for instant results. I thought that if I just kept going, everything would fall into place. We all know this kind of mindset often leads us somewhere we didn’t intend to go—or worse, into a place that sets us back. One of my biggest pet peeves is having to backtrack on something that could have been avoided, so now I’m making a conscious effort to release those old habits. When I feel like the path has gone cold, and nothing is coming through, I’m learning to see it as a sign to pause and reflect. I create space to prepare myself and my spiritual environment for what’s next, whenever it’s ready to emerge.
As I sit with this, I’m excited for all the newness that’s trying to come forward. I’m wishing all of you a week full of reflection and grace. May you be gentle with yourselves as you pause, trusting that the flow will come easily and effortlessly when the time is right.
Until next time, love you lots!
