Finding Calm and Light Amid Life’s Chaos

Hello beautiful people,

How are you? Are you holding space for yourselves? Are you breathing deeply and moving slowly? Are you making sure to check in and adjust accordingly when you can and when things may feel a bit overwhelming? I know, it can be so much and not much at all at the same time. So much to remember, so much to do, just so much. I find that when life tends to get ahead of me and feels like it is dragging me along, the best thing for me to do is give myself permission to stop, just stop. Take a beat and a breath, and ask myself, How are you doing? What is wrong? Why do you feel this way in this moment? What triggered it? In an ideal situation, what are 3 things that I could do right now that would make me feel better while processing everything? And then I do at least 1 of the things (or more) that are actually realistically doable. Sometimes life isn’t just experiencing everything outside of self, sometimes a large portion of it is showing up for yourself, letting you know that you are important. I was talking to one of my friends and he said something that stuck with me. He said that sometimes you just have to grab the light when you can. So I say to you as I say to myself, in the midst of it all, reach out and grab whatever light you can. It doesn’t have to be big and huge, even small lamps can light up a room. In each day, moment, situation, find the light, capture it, and hold on tight. Whatever makes your body release its shoulders, relax your jaw, breathe deeply versus shallowly, feel light spread within your chest so the dark cloud lifts enough so you can see past the roadblocks. Find the light.

Until next time, love you lots! – Sacred
