So the saying goes: better late than never. And so it is with this week’s tarot card. My apologies for the tardiness—sometimes life takes precedence over the creative. But I’m here now, and this week’s card is The Magician.
This card is all about manifestation—but not in the surface-level “wish and wait” sense. The Magician is about the power of intention and the truth that your words, thoughts, and energy have the ability to create or destroy.
You’ve probably heard someone say, “It’s just words,” or “Don’t take it so seriously,” but let’s look at that. Imagine waking up to someone leaning over you, whispering the word Death in your ear. Even without knowing the context, you’d instinctively feel uneasy. Why? Because even one word carries intention, energy, and meaning, just by how it’s spoken and what it symbolizes.
I remember someone who used to call me a nickname I didn’t like—because the actual definition of the word was negative. People thought I was being sensitive, but I’d say, “Don’t speak that over me.” Because when a word carries meaning that everyone knows, over time, people begin to associate you with that definition. And if you’re not careful, you might even start believing it yourself.
Words shape thoughts. Thoughts shape identity. Identity shapes action. Before long, what was said about you becomes how you show up in the world.
But this power works in both directions.
Just like the saying, “As a man thinketh, so is he,” the same applies to you. If you speak negatively about yourself—internally or aloud—you’ll start embodying that energy. And that’s still manifestation… just on the wrong frequency.
The Magician calls you to be mindful of your language, both external and internal. Know what you’re saying and why you’re saying it. Own your thoughts. Choose words with power behind them so they can move what you want into reality.
Manifestation isn’t wishing. It’s a knowing so strong that you honestly can’t see it any other way. You’re not hoping—it already feels real to you. You’re so sure of it that you’re surprised it hasn’t shown up yet. That kind of unwavering belief is what fuels manifestation.
We often underestimate the power of thought, so here are two examples:
The Car Example: Ever wanted a specific car so bad that you started researching it—colors, features, trims—and then suddenly, you see that exact car everywhere? No, everyone didn’t suddenly buy that car. You just tuned in to it. You started noticing it because you aligned your focus and desire. It was there all along.
The Lost Item Example: Ever lose something in your house, look everywhere—even in crazy places like the freezer (lol)—and finally ask the Universe to help you find it? Then boom—it shows up in plain sight, right where you “already looked.” Why? Because when you aligned your mind with belief and openness, you could finally see what was always there.
Manifestation is rooted in belief + awareness. Whether good or bad, you will see and experience what you continually affirm.
So what’s the Magician truly asking of you?
✨ To stop manifesting from ego—chasing things because they’re popular, trendy, or what others expect of you.
✨ And instead, to manifest from soul—from the deeply-rooted truths of who you are and what your soul knows it came here to express.
When you manifest from ego, it’s forced. When you manifest from soul, it flows.
Go within. Ask the deeper questions. Get to know yourself. Because when you’re aligned with your soul, manifestation comes with ease—not because you’re lucky, but because you’re clear.
The Magician says: You already have everything you need. Now it’s time to decide what you’re calling into your reality—and why.
P.S. Sometimes life gets in the way of my posting schedule—but spirit always finds a way to speak.
