This Week’s Tarot Reading: The Five of Coins/Pentacles (March 24th – 30th) – Look for the Light

Before I get into today’s card for the week, let me start with how things unfolded for me. I was doing my regular card pull for the week, and I normally don’t have a set number of cards that I pull. I let my ancestors of positivity and abundance, who are for me, determine what and how much they want to share with me and go from there. From there, I determine which card resonates as a message for the overall community and share that one.

Today, I guess the ancestors had a lot they wanted to share because I have never had this many cards thrown at me, and I do mean thrown, because there were cards shooting out left and right. I set aside two cards that I felt would be the message for the community, but I wasn’t sure which one yet. I took a break to sit on my patio to take in all of the information that was presented to me. As I watched a stray cat take comfort on my patio and watched bees and birds fly around, I thought of how much I really love the spring and what it means to me.

I noticed that the trees still seemed a little barren, and as I contemplated when leaves start to fill in the trees, I noticed a tree in the distance swaying in the wind, although I didn’t feel any wind, as if it were waving at me. I noticed it was literally glistening in the sun. It looked like Mother Earth had taken some fairy lights—the kind people put on their patios and gazebos to enjoy at night—and draped them all through this tree. It was brilliantly beautiful! I noticed the other trees didn’t look the same; they looked sparse in their foliage and dim in their light, especially compared to this particular tree. So I decided to focus on this tree.

As I mentally complimented Mother Earth on her decoration skills and gave gratitude and appreciation to this beautiful tree in the distance that towered over the rooftops of homes, I then noticed light areas on other trees that I hadn’t seen before. Then I heard, “You have to look for the light, focus on the light.” All of a sudden, I could see different areas of the different trees that also glimmered like fairy lights draped between their branches and leaves that I hadn’t noticed before.

I knew that this was the message, and I asked Spirit, “Is this a separate message, or is this connected to my tarot card pull for the week’s message?” Spirit simply said, “Go back and look at the two cards that you set aside. If either of them resonates with the message, then that is the tarot card for the week, and it is indeed just one message. If neither of them resonates with the message, then this is a separate message, and you will be led as to which of the tarot cards is the card for the week for a separate post.”

As I walked back in my door, I noticed that the bushes near my doorway had that same glistening fairy light look as well that I hadn’t noticed before, which confirmed again: look for the light.

Today, my friends, the card for this week is the Five of Coins/Pentacles. This card is one that shows someone having difficulties in life where they feel they have been isolated, forgotten even, and they are so focused on what they don’t have that they don’t notice the beauty of opportunity that is around them. Sometimes we can get so bogged down with what isn’t going right that we don’t notice what is going right, or we belittle the value of what is going right and deem it not enough.

I challenge you to look for the light. To look around you for the positivity and abundance that is around you, no matter how big or small it is, and enlarge the picture of it in your mind so that it fills the full scope of your viewpoint. Focus on that, give gratitude for that, and trust and know that as you feed that energy of thought, it will bring more. We think of manifestation as something we have to conjure up because it doesn’t exist, forcing it into existence, when really manifestation has no boundaries. It is simple. What you think on, you give it powerful energy to duplicate itself… good or bad.

Looking for the light and focusing on it ensures that you are letting the universe know, “This is what I like. Give me more of this and things like this.” As you sit in a state of gratitude and focus on that which is abundant, positive, and good, eventually, with time, it will grow and multiply. It doesn’t mean that the negative or bad situations cease to exist. Like the trees outside, there are still trees that have little to no leaves, that are dull, and in some places, even dead. But whatever you focus on becomes your reality because it is what your attention is set on.

If you are in need of financial help, look at the times that you needed it before and how it worked out. If you need support, think of a time when you needed support and how it worked out. Whatever you are in need of, think of the time when you last needed it and how it worked out for you. Focus on how it worked out. Sometimes your help is right there; you just need to be able to see it when it appears. And sometimes, you also need to speak up and let someone who is willing to help know that you are in need of help and/or support.

You are resilient, and you have always been so. Use this time to grow from it and enlarge your mental and spiritual territory to reframe your perspective and how you handle the challenges of life, so you can know how to thrive in any situation by focusing on the light. So, with your thoughts, what are you telling the universe that you want more of?

Until next time, love you lots!
